Reset!

Today I am starting a personal 30 day yoga challenge! My plan is to do a minimum of 60 minutes of yoga per day. As I head back to school I have to focus a little more on keeping exercise in my schedule. I have Saturday and Monday covered with classes with my favorite teacher. -And Sunday I am going to a TriYoga class. I'm looking forward to checking it out! I've never done TriYoga. I'm thinking Tuesday might be a yoga at home day. Now to plan the next 26 days!

I'm also doing a three day juice cleanse. I have been on a bit of a slippery slope with my diet and I find that I need to do a reset on occasion to get back on track. Since I am on my own this weekend it seemed like a good time. Stopped at the market and picked up carrots, celery, kale, beets, parsley, ginger (lots of ginger!), limes, kale and green apples. I'm looking forward to getting my juicer out tomorrow morning!

Facebook Page is Live!

Facebook page is live!
Step by step I am moving towards my dream of teaching yoga to others. I have shared it in small groups, practiced for 25 years and it is time. Time to teach and now I am allowing inspiration to guide my actions. This summer I took the plunge and joyfully completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training in one month. And I am laying the groundwork to be able to share the healing practice of yoga with others. Deep breath. One more step towards my dream.

Hooked!

25 years ago I took my first yoga class. I had just had a baby and for some inspired reason I signed myself up for a community yoga class that started two weeks after she was born. I stood in poses and the teacher gave gentle adjustments with her words and hands. My belly shook in backwards bends (did I mention I had just had a baby?). The teacher explained to me that this was because I was going farther than my muscles had before. I loved that. Sitting on the edge and feeling what came up. In savasana I closed my eyes and I saw my beautiful baby staring down at me. I was hooked. On the baby and on yoga.
